Butler City Parking Authority

On time parking tickets may be paid at the office during regular business hours. After regular business hours, on time parking tickets may be paid dropped off with payment in any of the red courtesy boxes throughout the City. The boxes are located in the following locations: in front of the Butler City Police Station at the entrance to the porch in front of the pillar, North Main Street Lot at the northwest entrance, the Tier Garage at either exit, East Diamond Street in front of the bank, Brown Avenue near the Center Avenue intersection. If you wish to appeal a parking ticket, do not pay it. The parking ticket will transfer to a state citation. The state citation will be sent to the owner on the registration information. You will have 10 days from that point to plead guilty or not guilty to the Butler City Magistrate 50-3-05 in person or via mail. If you plead no guilty within the allowed time period, a hearing will be scheduled for the matter to be placed in front of the Judge. If you fail to respond to the state citation, legal sanctions will be enforced by the court and/or civil entities. 

If a parking meter is not working and/or damaged during regular business hours do not park there. Notify the office via phone at the above number. If a meter is found to be damaged after regular business hours, call 911 and notify the police. Be as specific as you can on the location of the meter. 

The City allows the use of the Pango app to pay for parking in select areas. If the Pango app is not working and you can show proof of this, call the office at the above listed number. If the office is closed, leave a voice mail. Do not call 911 if the Pango app is not working. The Police Officers do not have access to this and are not able to correct the issue.
