The Butler City Police Department is a full time, twenty four hour a day department. The Police Department is staffed by the Chief, an Administrative Captain, a Detective Lieutenant, a Detective Officer and twenty uniformed Officers.
The department is responsible for enforcing criminal laws, maintaining order, protecting members of the public, protecting property, preventing crime, improving citizens quality of life. The goal of the department is to achieve community safety and crime reduction.
