Notify your insurance company of all and any crashes.
Police need to be notified if there are any injuries, if a vehicle needs towed, an involved driver is refusing to provide information, the crash was a hit and run. If the Police determine that a Pennsylvania State Crash Report or an incident report needs to be filed, the information should be available within 15 days with exceptions. Call the Parking Office for crashes in which criminal charges are not being filed. If criminal charges are filed, certain information may be protected. Refer to the forms and Right to Know section of this website for more information.
Police do not need notified if both vehicles are able to be driven and no one is injured. Obtain the registration, license, insurance policy and the other driver's phone number. The easiest way to do this is to take photographs of the documents with your phone and send your information to the other driver. This will provide you and the other driver with each others phone numbers. Request that they send their information to you. This is best to do on scene once the vehicles have been moved to a safe location for the involved parties to exchange information.
